Grad Day 2011
Hundreds of student and parent volunteers washed cars, directed traffic and fired up BBQ grills during a windy, chilly day on May 14. But the weather didn't discourage Billings area residents from supporting their cause: the all-night, alcohol
and drug free graduation celebrations for all four Billings High Schools and Laurel High. The graduation night parties provide a safe and fun way for teenagers to celebrate.
The day's total fundraising hit $63,000 that will help provide prizes, food and entertainment for the parties.
The supervised celebrations are held the last week of May and start around 10 p.m. and conclude about 4 a.m. (depending on the school). Organizers say more than 90 percent of graduates attend the parties.
